An initial test within 6 months of starting work, then at least every 12 months (section 7.8). This applies to workers exposed above 85 dBA Lex or a 140 dBC peak. New hires have their own 6-month deadline, which is easy to miss between annual testing days.
Each of our mobile units tests 50+ employees a day. For larger groups we add units.
Each employee gets an audiogram and their results. You get a summary report for your records, delivered digitally.
No. Testing happens in our mobile units, which fit a standard parking stall and need no power hook-up. Our units are WorkSafeBC-approved. We can also use a quiet room on site if you prefer.
Yes. We provide hearing protection guidance, plus custom-moulded earplugs for workers who need a better fit.
