About the Client

Axiom Builders is a construction company working on major projects throughout British Columbia.

With a large workforce at an active Port Coquitlam construction site, Axiom needed an efficient way to coordinate occupational hearing testing for 200 workers

Rather than sending workers individually to an off-site clinic, Axiom chose Clear Work's mobile hearing testing service, allowing the testing to take place directly at the construction site.

The Challenge
What the organization was facing

Coordinating occupational hearing testing for 200 construction workers requires more than simply showing up with testing equipment.

Axiom needed a provider capable of handling a large workforce while keeping the process organized, professional and straightforward for both management and workers.

They were also looking to make a change in hearing-testing providers, with customer service, responsive communication and reliable on-site coordination being important factors in their decision.

For a busy Port Coquitlam construction project, the goal was to make hearing testing as easy as possible for the workforce while maintaining a positive experience from scheduling through to testing.

Our Solution

Clear Work coordinated occupational hearing testing directly at Axiom Builders' Port Coquitlam construction site. The objective was simple: successfully test a large workforce while making the process easy for Axiom and providing every worker with a professional experience.

Step 1: Planning & Coordination

Clear Work worked with the Axiom team to coordinate the project requirements, scheduling and on-site logistics before testing began. With 200 workers to accommodate, having a clear plan helped keep the testing organized.

Step 2: Mobile Testing Unit On-Site

Clear Work brought its mobile occupational hearing testing unit directly to the construction site. Workers could complete their hearing testing where they were already working rather than having to coordinate individual trips to an external testing location.

Step 3: Testing 200 Workers

Clear Work completed occupational hearing testing for 200 workers on-site. Noah worked directly with the crew throughout the project, focusing on keeping each appointment efficient while still providing workers with a thorough and professional experience.

Step 4: Project Completion

The testing was successfully completed on-site, giving Axiom a centralized solution for coordinating occupational hearing testing across a large construction workforce.

What was included:
  • On-site occupational hearing testing
  • Testing for 200 construction workers
  • Clear Work mobile hearing testing unit
  • Project scheduling and coordination
  • WorkSafeBC-authorized testing
  • Experienced Clear Work personnel
  • Direct service at the Port Coquitlam construction site

Why This Approach Worked

A project involving 200 workers requires a combination of capacity, organization and good communication.

Bringing the mobile hearing testing unit directly to Axiom's Port Coquitlam construction site created one centralized location for the workforce to complete their testing.

Just as importantly, Clear Work focused on the overall service experience. Axiom switched providers looking for stronger customer service, and the positive feedback from workers following the project provided a real-world indication that the experience was being delivered in the field.
