Mobile Industrial Hearing Testing for Construction

$0 to construction employers: companies in WorkSafeBC classification units starting with 72 don't pay directly for hearing tests done through the Construction Industry Program.

Saws, grinders, jackhammers, and heavy equipment put construction crews at daily risk of noise-induced hearing loss. We bring WorkSafeBC (WCB) authorized industrial hearing testing, including Construction Industry Program tests, to your jobsite or yard in our mobile hearing testing unit, so your crew stays on the job.

Why Hearing Testing Matters

High Noise Is Part of the Job. Hearing Loss Doesn't Have to Be.

Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, and it builds up slowly over years of exposure. Common noise sources for construction companies include:

  • Concrete saws, grinders, and chop saws
  • Jackhammers, breakers, and plate compactors
  • Excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment
  • Nail guns, generators, and compressors

Construction crews move between sites, new hires start every week, and subcontractors come and go. That makes it easy for baseline and annual hearing tests to slip through the cracks. We make it simple by bringing the testing to you.

WorkSafeBC Construction Industry Program

Clear Health Group is a WorkSafeBC (WCB) authorized industrial audiometric business (IAB #436) that tests for WorkSafeBC's Construction Industry Program. If your company is registered in a classification unit starting with 72, the program covers these annual hearing tests, so you don't pay directly for each worker tested. The program is funded through construction industry assessments, and workers receive a Record of Hearing Test card they can carry from job to job.

Under WorkSafeBC's guidelines, employers who participate in and follow the program are also exempt from the noise exposure measurement requirement in section 7.4 of the OHS Regulation.
