Hearing and noise

- How Loud Is Too Loud?: the BC 85 dBA limit in plain language, why every 3 decibels matters and the early warning signs of hearing damage.
- Your Annual Hearing Test, What to Expect: use it the week before a hearing testing visit so your crew knows what happens and why.
Respirators
- Respirator Seal Checks Before Every Use: positive and negative pressure checks, N95 checks, and why a fit test does not replace them.
- Respirator Care, Storage and Cartridge Changes: inspecting, cleaning and storing reusable respirators, and when to change cartridges.
First aid

How to run a good toolbox talk
- Keep it short. Five to ten minutes at the start of a shift works better than a long meeting nobody remembers.
- Make it about this site. Point to the actual tools, areas and equipment your crew uses.
- Show, don't just tell. Each talk includes a quick demo. Use it.
- Ask questions. The answers tell you what your crew is really doing.
- Record it. Note the date, topic and attendees, and keep it with your safety records.
Need the testing or training behind the talk?
Clear Work brings occupational health services to your site across British Columbia, so your crew stays on the job:
- Mobile hearing testing, WorkSafeBC-authorized, in our testing van
- Respirator fit testing, qualitative and quantitative
- On-site first aid training, Basic and Intermediate
