We Have Already Done This
We ran RN-led wellness screening for 35 employees at a Richmond transportation company - on their site, during their working day, with results going to the employees themselves.
Transportation is close to a worst case for cardiovascular risk. The work is sedentary for long stretches, food options on a route are what a truck stop sells, sleep is irregular, and the demographic skews toward men in the age bands least likely to see a family doctor voluntarily. High blood pressure produces no symptoms. Elevated blood glucose produces no symptoms. Both are straightforward to detect in twenty minutes and very treatable when caught early.
What this is not: this is voluntary wellness screening offered as a benefit. It is not a medical fitness-to-drive assessment, it is not fitness-for-duty, and it is not designed to inform any employment decision. Results go to the employee. You receive attendance numbers and, if you want it, a de-identified picture of the group.
That boundary is not legal boilerplate - it is the reason participation is high. Drivers who suspect the results reach dispatch do not take part honestly, and a screening nobody trusts finds nothing.
