Common questions about on-site wellness screening for BC transportation employers.
No, and it should not be treated as one. This is voluntary wellness screening offered as an employee benefit. It is not a fitness-for-duty assessment, not a medical examination for licensing purposes, and not designed or intended to inform any employment decision. Commercial driver medical examinations are a separate regulated process.
The driver. Individual results are theirs and we do not share them with you. You receive attendance numbers and can request a de-identified group summary - for example how many participants had a blood pressure reading worth following up - with no names attached.
Blood pressure, resting heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, cholesterol where available, height, weight and BMI, plus time with a Registered Nurse to talk the numbers through. Each appointment runs 15-30 minutes.
Yes. We schedule around dispatch windows and shift changes, and can catch drivers at the start or end of a shift. Tell us your pattern and we will build the day around it rather than expecting drivers to wait.
