Uptake Is the Whole Point
Telling staff the flu shot is free and available at any pharmacy produces a predictable result: the conscientious ones go, and everyone else means to. An on-site clinic removes every step between intention and injection, which is why workplace clinics reach far more of a workforce than a reminder email does.

You are not paying for vaccine. Influenza vaccine comes to us through the regional health authority, so the publicly funded dose your staff would receive at a pharmacy is the dose they receive at work. What you pay for is the nurses, the cold chain and the logistics of bringing it to your floor - which is the part that decides whether people actually get immunized.
Influenza and COVID-19 are funded differently. Influenza vaccine is publicly funded for every BC resident six months and older, so an on-site flu clinic is open to your whole workforce. Publicly funded COVID-19 vaccine is directed to eligible groups, including people 65 and over, the severely immunocompromised, pregnant people and essential service workers such as health care workers and first responders. We confirm what your workforce is eligible for when we scope the clinic, rather than after your people are lined up.

We bring clinics to worksites across British Columbia, including Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna and Kamloops.
Healthcare and long-term care employers: since July 2024, staff of BC health authorities must report their influenza immune status. That is a reporting duty rather than a vaccination mandate - but it is far easier to satisfy when the shot was offered on site and the record already exists.
