Common questions about on-site wellness screening for BC municipalities and public works departments.
That is a conversation for you and your members, but the features that usually matter are in place by default: participation is voluntary, individual results belong to the employee, employer reporting is de-identified, and it is explicitly not fitness-for-duty or pre-employment. We are happy to explain the program directly to a joint health and safety committee before anyone commits.
The employee. Individual results are theirs and we do not share them with the employer. You receive attendance numbers and can request a de-identified group summary with no names attached.
Yes. Works yard, water treatment, transit garage, recreation centres and city hall can all be sequenced into one program, which is how we already handle multi-site hearing testing for municipal and school district clients.
Yes, and we would push for it. Roads, parks and utilities crews muster well before office hours, and they are the group that benefits most. Scheduling only during business hours systematically excludes them.
No. It is voluntary wellness screening offered as a benefit and it is not designed or intended to inform any employment decision. If you need a role-specific assessment tied to documented physical job demands, that is separate work with different rules - ask us about it directly.
